10 Ridiculous Adult Jokes Hidden In Video Games

5. Benjamin Franklin's Sex Talk (Assassin's Creed III)

Assassin's Creed 3 Benjamin Franklin

While the Assassin's Creed series obviously isn't 100% historically accurate, it does put a lot of effort into making sure things like the clothes and the buildings are as authentic as possible.

As a result, one of the best things about these games is that they really do transport you to their respective time periods, with Ubisoft's attention to detail really bringing their recreations of past civilisations to life.

Another thing that helps with the immersion is the fact that you can interact with a host of famous historical figures, and in Assassin's Creed III, you'll bump into the likes of Thomas Jefferson, Samuel Adams and George Washington.

You can also chat with Benjamin Franklin, who will have the most unusual optional conversation with you inside the general store in Boston.

Upon initiating the dialogue, Franklin will start rambling on about how having sex with older women is superior to having it with younger women, citing their experience, their inability to conceive, and that their lack of beauty improves their "utility".

The conversation is a good couple of minutes long, and it's truly bizarre to listen to. Franklin, clearly, has put a lot of thought into this topic.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for over ten years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. In 2022, he took charge of WhoCulture and has grown it into the biggest Doctor Who channel on YouTube, and one of the biggest Doctor Who communities on the web full-stop. He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show. Like many his age, he first got into Doctor Who with the 2005 revival, but has since gone back and fallen in love with the classic years too. If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order, or to give you a random factoid about the making of Gridlock, Danny is the person to ask!
