10 Rumoured Video Games That Could Still Be Announced In 2016

9. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3

I still find it hard to believe that we're talking about Ultimate Alliance. Now. In 2016.

Don't get me wrong, Raven Software's lovable take on the Marvel Universe was an admirable if not particularly impressive experience that was brilliant fun to play with your mates, but it wasn't anything more than a harmless isometric dungeon crawler.

Still, there must be an audience for the franchise, as Activision deemed it fit to bring a pseudo-remaster of the series to current-gen consoles but a week ago. I say pseudo because, well, not much has changed visually since the two titles dropped in 2006 and 2009, but it's obvious that they clearly aren't the main event.

No, if anything, Marvel and Activision's timely re-release would appear to be nothing more than an attempt at gauging interest in the brand. And, given the reception from fans thus far, it would appear as though MUA still has a home in the medium.

A third addition to the series would of course keep inline with Marvel's ostensible designs on the industry, having only recently clocked onto the fact that DC - bucking the trends of their most recent cross-medium excursions - have been owning the genre when it comes to critical and commercial reverence. What better way to sure up their upcoming Spidey reboot than with a sequel to one of the most nostalgically adored superhero franchises of all time?
