10 Rumoured Video Games That Could Still Be Announced In 2016

8. Red Dead 3

Splinter Cell
Rockstar

If it feels like we've been waiting for what seems like a millennium for a sequel/prequel/whatever to Red Dead Redemption, it's because we have. No, seriously. It's been six years since we first encountered John Marston, and honestly, I'm beginning to develop withdrawal symptoms.

Obviously we've had two absolute stunners from Rockstar in the years since (L.A. Noire and Grand Theft Auto V), but the relative quiet surrounding Red Dead's inevitable next entry has been disconcerting to say the least.

Yeah, yeah, Rockstar love their secrecy when it comes to announcing new projects (I wouldn't be surprised if they relayed developmental plans through self-destructive letters, to be honest), and it's hard to deny that it's a winning strategy, but come now, they've got to give us something soon; at least once we're all done and dusted with Mafia III (which, by the way, is shaping up to be something rather special).

I appreciate those GTA Online updates as much as the next guy, but what we need right now is a solid confirmation that Red Dead is coming our way in the near future.

I mean, could you imagine it?

Red Dead online with all the best bits of GTA's online component? Sans the opulent in game price-tags of course, but still, if Rockstar were set to announce something at E3, don't be surprised if something new comes along before the year's end.
