10 Rumoured Video Games That Could Still Be Announced In 2016
6. Batman: Arkham Origins Sequel
Like it or not, there's not a chance in Hell that Warner Bros. will part with the Arkham brand. Not now, not tomorrow - probably not ever if the publisher gets their way. If you like Batman, then yay, that's great, feel free to knock yourself out. But for many, myself included, who think the detective's adventures are beginning to wear a little thin, the prospect of another Arkham entry isn't all that appealing.
I say this despite the fact that, unlike what many others believed, I very much enjoyed Arkham Origins. Sure, it had its shortcomings, but was it at all deserving of that ridiculous critical backlash?
Of course not. In fact, at the risk of upsetting the purists amongst you, I'd go as far to say it was the best Arkham title yet. I know, how horrific.
Whatever your opinion on the old 'Montreal V Rocksteady' debate, it's obvious that there's more Arkham on the way.
Heck, given just how much Rocksteady love their Easter Eggs, it wouldn't be at all disingenuous to assume there'll be some ambiguous speculative claptrap to get invested in Arkham VR.
It may be short of a fully fledged announcement, but Warner's Montreal studio have been working on something for the better half of three years now; the thought of them sitting on it for much longer doesn't seem at all logical or conducive to the publisher's financial stratagem.
