10 Scariest Video Game Moments Nobody Saw Coming
1. Fallout 3's Andale Mystery
Fallout 3 will be 10 years old in 2018 and yet people are still playing it. That says a lot for the game's depth; there's just so much to see and do in Bethesda's post-apocalyptic wasteland. Deathclaws, Super Mutants and even humans make up the scariest threats Washington D.C has to offer. Just ask the residents of Andale.
Introduced as "winner of the Best Town In The USA contest" by alarmingly odd housewife Linda Smith, the sleepy little hamlet is just a little too happy-go-lucky considering the savage surroundings. Do a little digging and you'll uncover Andale's deepest, darkest secret. The place is a haven for cannibals. Also, there's a ton of inbreeding going on.
Accuse Linda's husband Jack of being a flesh-eating maniac and you'll be forced to kill everyone and escape. That's certainly better than the alternative, because the Smith and Wilson families who live in the town planned to make you their next meal anyway.
In a game full of massive, fire-breathing ants and so much decay, how is it possible that a charming family could be Fallout 3's most chilling occupants?
