10 Secret Gaming Areas You Never Knew Existed

8. Secret Garden (Shadow Of The Colossus)

When the remake of a game is announced, there’s pressure on a studio to deliver a product that’s nostalgic and new at the same time. Bluepoint Games struck the perfect balance between both with the Shadow of the Colossus remake.

The story centred around Wander, who needed to travel the Forbidden Land and slay giant monsters. Every time a colossus was killed, the player returned to a shrine introduced at the start of the game. If a player upgraded their stamina enough by the end of the game, then they gained access to the secret garden at the top of the shrine.

Forbidden fruit was a key part of the secret garden. It hung from the trees and looked tempting to eat. Regular fruit helped to heal the player, while the forbidden fruit drained their strength and stamina.

While there’s not much to do in the secret garden beyond eating tainted fruit, it’s still worth finding to unlock the achievement.
