10 Secretly Powerful Video Game NPCs

High on Life's wacky comedy, surreal imagery and general tomfoolery give you a gaming experience you won't find anywhere else. It also comes with a busload of goofy aliens to befriend, adding a cherry on top of some surprisingly decent FPS mechanics. One such figure is Dr. Joopy, a blue octopus-like alien you meet during the Douglas Bounty quest. Unfortunately, he's nowhere near as sweet as he seems.

The quest sees you hunting down the torture-loving G3 Chief, Douglas. During the mission, you meet this strange creature, and he begs you to help him get revenge on the villain to help free his family. He's sweet, caring, and altogether innocent. That is, of course, until you find out you've been taken for a ride, as he is Douglas.

So, you've just spent the last hour helping him get to his suit so he can attack you. Not only is the character powerful once he's in his costume, but he's also a master manipulator who makes you fall for him with deception and trickery.

It just goes to show you that you can never trust someone too nice, even if they are a squishy blue alien.
