8. Its Riiiidge Racer! Ridge Racer
Lets step out of the virtual world of gaming for a second and look at a hilariously unintentional moment from an E3 press conference (2006 to be exact). Actually, there are a whole bunch of great moments that could have made this list from press conferences gone (who could ever forget My body is ready from Reggie Fils-Aime?) but this gem from Sonys conference deserves the mention. Kaz Hirai (then Vice President of Sony Computer Entertainment America) was showcasing the PlayStation Portable and decided to play a little game with the audience, inviting them to guess which title he was loading on the portable console. Cue a non-response from the crowd, prompting Kaz to try and prompt them with the hugely memorable: Its Ridge Racer! *small cheer from crowd* Riiiiiidge Racer! *slightly larger cheer, most likely due to the ridiculous extension* Game companies never learn though and (thankfully) E3 has continued to serve up hilarious moments. Remember the Peggle 2 announcement during Microsofts conference last year? Perhaps its best you dont for PopCaps sanity.
