10 Seriously Misjudged Video Game Levels That Almost Made You Stop Playing

6. Supply Lines - GTA San Andreas

The iconic childhood-ruiner itself, San Andreas' Supply Lines remains emblematic of just how much Rockstar pushed the GTA III engine.

Initially designed for car chases and gunfights, by the time we'd arrived in this trilogy-capping threequel, the devs were attempting to design the most overblown and random mission designs they could think of. We'd already had Vice City's toy helicopter disaster, Demolition Man, but Supply Lines' sense of momentum was nigh-on broken.

Asking you to fly a tiny physics-dependant toy plane around the city, that would've been bad enough, but there was also a tiny machine gun attached to mow down gangsters who were also trying to take you down.

Lining up your shots whilst also landing and taking off from specific spots was horrendous. Terrible controls, a baffling in-lore reason as to why you were even doing this and the reality that not a single thing about how the plane moved felt good, this is Rockstar at their most "experimental".
