7. Flowers For A Lady - Red Dead Redemption

Red Dead Redemption II has plenty of quests that leave a chilling mark on you but let's not forget the horrors that preceded it and the Red Dead Redemption stranger side mission Flowers for a Lady is a great example.

This one starts off super tame, an old man wants your help in picking flowers that he can present to his wife as a gift for their 50th anniversary. Cute, right? Well lots of players got bored of this one because you’re a cool cowboy who doesn't want to waste time picking flowers all over the map but you would have missed out on the conclusion which is a shame. Or a great call. Depending on whether or not you want to be traumatised. You see, once the job is done you enter the man’s cabin and realise his dear wife is actually a desiccated corpse.

Yeah… it seems this guy is in massive denial and it’s particularly chilling since the man seems completely calm and collected about it and talks to his wife like she’s alive.

Your stomach drops as soon as Marston enters the cabin and while he’s plenty polite about the whole thing, there’s an undercurrent of deep sadness to this one that makes the whole thing even more unsettling.
