10 Settings Assassin's Creed Could Go To Next
5. The Wild West
In a similar vein to WW1, this would be quite a tough and entirely new direction for the franchise, but there is no denying that playing as an Assassin in the Wild West would be exhilarating.
This period of lawlessness has been incredibly glorified in media and has almost entered a fantasy land. Thanks to this, a game based in this world wouldn't need to keep to historical accuracy and could give players a cathartic and new way to play as a gunslinger.
There are a plethora of historical characters who could appear such as Butch Cassidy, Billy the Kid, Jesse James and many more. Taking the opportunity to sneak behind these gun-toting outlaws and take them down would make for an engaging title without a doubt.
The use of guns at this time was extensive but not as difficult to adapt as WW1 would be, and could be a great way to improve upon the minimal gunplay seen in other instalments.
Taking Assassin's Creed to the frontier would be a bold and exciting choice.
