10 Severely Underrated Spider-Man Games You Must Play
8. Spider-Man 3
This sequel game suffered as much critical backlash as it's namesake movie did when compared to Spider-Man 2, but in truth I think this criticism was overly harsh and heavily influenced by just how poor the movie was. Spider-Man 3 was lambasted for being too short and for having poor graphics, but many of its core gameplay elements were just as good as its predecessor. There were even some improvements over Spider-Man 2 on show as well, namely surrounding the customisation of Spidey's skills and the way the black symbiote suit altered his abilities in combat and moving around the city. The black-suited Spidey was unsurprisingly faster and stronger than his regular counterpart, and this was essential for beating certain parts of the game. A battle against Kraven The Hunter was a particularly strong example of this and a real highlight of the game. If combat's not your thing, however, there's still plenty of fun to be had in swinging through the streets at immense speeds.
