10 Severely Underrated Star Wars Games You Must Play
9. Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
Ever wondered what it would be like to attend the Jedi version of Hogwarts, to be trained in the ways of the Force and taught how to wield a Lightsaber? Well, look no further than Jedi Academy no less than Luke Skywalker himself will be your teacher. Much of Jedi Academys focus is on lightsaber fighting, rather than blasters and other weapons so even though its technically a third-person shooter, most of the time youll be trying to get into close combat with your enemies, for impaling purposes. What makes this game even cooler is the level of customisation available for lightsaber fighting. Not only can you construct your own lightsaber, choosing both the design of the hilt and the colour of the blade, but you also have several fighting styles to choose from. Do you want to concentrate on the classic single-blade style? Or would you rather dual wield, or even try your hand at the double-sided saber made famous by Darth Maul? All of these have different strengths, weaknesses and abilities so its up to you to find your own personal style to develop, as well as being reinforced by customisable force powers. Theres plenty of mission variety too, so it never becomes too repetitive. Add all of that to a solid plot, and youre onto a winner even if the Jedi Knight series is now over 10 years old, its well worth digging out.
