10 Shocking Video Game Moments Players CHOSE To See

3. Infamous – Save Your Girlfriend Or The Doctors?

We’d love to see Infamous revived for Playstation 5. First appearing in 2009 on PS3, it’s an open world action-adventure that implemented a karma system, allowing you to become a hero or villain.

The original title sees you playing as Cole MacGrath, a cyclist courier that gains electrical superpowers after surviving an explosion in Empire City, caused by the ray sphere contained in his delivery.

Facing quarantine after this explosion, Cole then attempts to escape but finds himself at odds with organised crime group The First Sons and leader Kessler, who’ve seized control of Empire City in the explosion aftermath.

As this confrontation escalates, Kessler takes the bold move of kidnapping Cole’s girlfriend Trish and challenges him to save either her or a group of Doctors.

If you save the Doctors, she falls to her death but if you attempt to save Trish instead, Kessler reveals he replaced her with a Dummy and she falls anyway in a cruel trick.

Depending on your karma level, your last chat with Trish differs drastically. If you’ve played the hero, she will tell you she’s proud of your actions but if you've gone down the villainous route, she’ll curse your very existence and selfish actions.

It’s a false choice, but one you’ll still have to live with.
