10 Simple Ways Rockstar Could Ruin GTA 6
2. Relying Too Much On GTA Online
Game studios are, naturally, there to make money. It's no wonder then that Rockstar have embraced the online market and turned GTA Online into a constant cash cow. From a single-player's perspective, that's a slight concern. GTA 6 cannot become more reliant on multiplayer than the core story experience.
In GTA's world, Online is more of a distraction on the buffet table than the main course. It'd be awful if Rockstar lost sight of that, opened up their tills further and plundered gamers for all they're worth.
Again, GTA isn't a franchise like Call Of Duty. Being rinsed for short (admittedly satisfying) gameplay bursts is not something the series would do well exclusively, and the people responsible for creating it have to keep that in the back of their minds.
Immersion is something 6 should have in spades. There's no need to shift attention away from the single-player to Online fully, especially not when Rockstar have shown they can do both and use multiplayer to squeeze more life from the game's world once the main quest is completed.
