10 Skyrim Easter Eggs, Secrets & References You Totally Missed

8. Dracula’s Relics

If you’ve got Skyrim’s Dawnguard DLC, you may want to take some time out to visit a room found within the Volkihar Keep.

The Keep is home to the Volkihar Vampire Clan, led by Lord Harkon, and known to be the most powerful court of vampires residing in Skyrim. And so, it only stands to reason there’d be a reference to another classic vamp in these parts, none other than Dracula himself. Specifically, Dracula from Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest. In a display case you can spot a sabre cat’s eye, a daedra’s heart, a dog’s ribcage, and a gold ring.

The Castlevania fans among you may have already twigged that these items are a reference to those Simon Belmont had to collect and destroy to take out the big bad count.

In Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, you'll need to collect these same items if you want the best ending.
