10 Star Trek Easter Eggs & References In Starfield

2. Earl Grey

Captain Picard was rarely seen without his favourite bergamot beverage in hand, and as a tribute to this addiction, you can buy a cup (although a decidedly less fancy one in plastic) of Earl Grey from Tranquilitea shops across the systems in Starfield. It's "A favorite among UC Navy captains," as the item description's nudging wink gives it. During one mission aboard a Deimos armoured transport, we also found a cup of Earl Grey in a captain's ready room. Oh, and in case you were wondering, 'course it's 'ot. Now, what d'ya want in it? Poor Jessel, spoken to like a replicator.

The captains of the United Colonies might well have picked their side in the great tea versus coffee debate, but Starfleet officers are still making their minds up. Janeway need not worry, however, as "the finest organic suspension ever devised" still exists in Starfield, although sadly not in any nebula, but at Terrabrew outlets. 'Terra' — Voyager's journey home? Perhaps that's a reach too far!

Drinking a Terrabrew coffee does give you a stamina boost, and we know how much Voyager's Earth-bound captain relied on that particular benefit of coffee to get her through the Delta Quadrant. "Keeps you sharp," as she would say. Janeway "beat the Borg with it," so it just might help you against the Crimson Fleet.
