10 Strongest Non-Boss Enemies In The Super Mario Franchise

7. Broozer

No matter how difficult an enemy is in the Super Mario franchise, nearly every one of them can be defeated with the slightest tap on the head. One of the only exceptions is Broozer, who debuted in New Super Mario Bros.

As soon as he sees you, this snarling menace will run towards you, jabbing away with his boxing gloves. You need to stomp on his head three times to kill him. At first, that doesn't sound too bad. He doesn't spew fireballs or hurl hammers. He just throws a few punches. No big deal... or so it seems.

The reason why encounters with Broozer are so difficult is you need to keep him alive! Broozer is so strong, he can destroy blocks that cannot be broken by any other means. In order to navigate through certain levels, you need to lead this baddie towards these blocks.

If you kill him before he has a chance to break the blocks that seal the exit, you cannot complete the level. In situations like this, you have to leave the room and reenter to make Broozer respawn so you can try again.
