10 Strongest Non-Boss Enemies In The Super Mario Franchise

6. Tap-Tap The Golden

Tap-Tap is a villain introduced in Yoshi's Island that looks like the result if a clown and a mace had a baby. He may be cute but he's a bit tricky since Yoshi cannot eat him or directly kill him. Hitting Tap-Tap with an egg just stuns him and he can only be beaten if he collides with another enemy.

But what happens if there is no enemy to collide into? Simple. Tap-Tap cannot be killed.

In King Bowser's Castle, one pipe leads to a giant version of Tap-Tap called Tap-Tap the Golden. Since he's alone, there's no way to beat him. Because this section auto-scrolls, it's also impossible to outrun him. As a result, he keeps marching towards you like a giant, cute Terminator.

Despite the fact you need to avoid from him... you also have to stay close to him since he will launch towards you if you run too far. You can knock him back with eggs and force him into the bottomless pits but there's nothing you can do to stop him. All you can do is survive for three minutes until you reach the pipe at the end.
