10 Super Mario Levels That Were Just Plain Unfair

6. The Pachinko Game - Super Mario Sunshine

Super Mario Sunshine is a fairly cheery, light-hearted addition to the Super Mario franchise. It introduces the open world of the tropical Delfino Isle and contains missions based around amusement parks, carrying watermelons down a hill and winning a casino game against King Boo. However, it is also home to one of the most infamous and widely loathed levels ever put together by Nintendo: The Pachinko Game.

Found inbetween in the hole underneath the bridge between the Plaza's cannon and the nearby Boathouse, this level is a giant game of Pachinko that houses eight red coins that players will have to collect. Whilst three are easily obtained by using the launcher, the other five can prove to be seriously unfair to try collect, even after several attempts.

Players will have to get used to balancing on the table's wooden pegs and making some knee-jerk reactions with F.L.U.D.D. in order to reach a couple of these coins, but the level gives them no chance for any respite by throwing in a large hole at the bottom of the table. Should players miss a jump or be too slow with their reactions, they'll lose a life.
