10 Talented Voice Actors You'll Find In All Your Favourite Video Games

8. Colin McFarlane - Batman: Arkham Knight, Fable II, Primal

One of the deepest, most powerful voices ever to grace film, television and video games belongs to a Mr. Colin McFarlane. You’ll currently recognise him as the voice of Aquafresh toothpaste and several other adverts – he was the voice of Mr. Muscle cleaning products for more than a decade, too.

Yes, that guy.

Rare glimpses of McFarlane can be seen on some TV programmes, with the appearance that sticks out for me being his brilliant turn as a guest star on Channel 4’s comedy series Black Books. He plays a police officer who is fooled into believing Bill Bailey is an undercover police operative and the whole situation unfolds with inevitable hijinks.

Perhaps his best known video game voice work of late has been Thunder in Fable, Avalon Centrifuge in LittleBigPlanet and the voice of Greg in Sony’s BUZZ TV Quiz. He even lends his voice to background characters in Batman: Arkham Knight, Fable II and the PS2 gem that was Primal.

Now you know, and probably won’t be able to stop yourself hearing his dulcet tones. Thanks, Colin!

Probably the only person ever to see all the endings of the awful Shadow the Hedgehog video game. Professional proofreader, football fanatic, lion tamer and occasional liar.
