10 Terrible Video Game Ports NOBODY Asked For
5. Bomberman Act: Zero - Xbox 360
Okay, Bomberman Act: Zero is not so much a port in the traditional sense as it is a remake of an existing title for a new system - so kind of a port.
Regardless of whether or not you agree with that logic, we still definitely need to talk about it.
Perhaps the best way to sum this 2006 Xbox 360 title is to imagine the colourful and fun Bomberman we all know and love, going through his rebellious, Goth / Emo / Edgelord / My-parents-don't-understand-me-and-I-hate-everyone years.
In what is supposed to be a (BUZZ WORD ALERT) dark, gritty re-imagining of the Bomberman series, set in a (you guessed it) dystopian future, this game missed the mark by an absolute mile.
It's almost as if Konami and Hudson Soft wanted to put Bomberman on the Xbox 360, but thought that the players (who presumably only play Halo and Gears of War) would never go in for all that cutesy stuff (that's for Nintendo, am I right? No...), so thought "I know, let's make Bomberman look more like Master Chief!"
They even included a third-person camera option to make it look more like a more traditional character action/shooter game.
It's no wonder it bombed. (Buddum-Tish!!!)
