10 Things An Xbox Player Learned Playing Uncharted For The First Time

2. The Series Looks And Feels Gorgeous

Put simply, Uncharted is stunning. From the lush and verdant jungles of Borneo to the snow topped mountains of the Himalayas, all of the series' environments and locales feel dense, detailed, and most importantly, alive. Drake's Deception even manages to turn a muted colour pallet of yellows, browns and beiges into something wonderful, detailing sand to a remarkable degree and topping it all off with a wonderful skybox even Skyrim would be jealous of. To have that all remastered on PS4? Well, it's brilliant.

Some facial animations can look a bit buggy at times, (as is the case with 90% of games released in the last gen) but more often than not they tend to look extremely authentic. Motion-capture technology once again shows its value here, and with it, the acting talents on display too. There's barely an on-screen interaction that fails to look convincing or natural, which whilst the norm of the medium in this day and age, is a testament to the more revolutionary aspects of Uncharted. Mo-cap technology has always been a staple of the genre, but (with the exception of L.A. Noire) I've yet to see it be deployed more effectively anywhere else.

For those of you who may be off-put by remasters gone awry with graphical miss-steps and the sort, you need not worry - Uncharted is still looking fabulous.
