10 Things Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare Does Better Than Destiny

10. Rewarding Progression

As much as it has the potential to just be lights, bells and whistles, there's definitely something satisfying in seeing an in-game level-up bar shoot up post-match, showering you with positive stats and items for a job well done. Even if you lose the main match in COD, chances are you'll neck enough points through weapon use or consolation/loser's share XP to neck another upgrade for a gun or level up yourself. The word here is 'fun', and it's something that was almost completely missing from Destiny's first furtive few days. Being that post-game the rewards you received were completely randomly generated, it meant regardless of how much of your all you threw in, you could come away with a common item the guy next to you got in the previous match for a third of the effort. COD makes a point of at least trying to give you a nudge in the vein of "Attaboy champ, you'll get 'em next time" whereas Destiny walks off dismissively, knowing many will run to catch up regardless.
