10 Things Nintendo’s Best Video Games Can Teach Pokémon Sun & Moon

8. Add Some RPG Dialogue - Phoenix Wright

Dialogue plays a massive part of an open world RPG like the Pokémon series, and each of the titles have all come with a suggested reading level for its players to possess in order to fully enjoy. At present that dialogue is not perfect, but there is certainly scope for this to be improved upon with the brand new game.

For a start, it would be nice to see more of a detailed exchange around some of the more important conversations in the narrative. In more recent generations, we have seen elements like conversations with 'N' or the Mega Evolution tutorial get a better focus, but putting more of the story's bigger moments into Phoenix Wright styled scenes would make them feel more dynamic.

Player input into these sequences is also leaving a lot to be desired at present, so adding a few more multiple choice options throughout the game would also be a nice improvement.

Again, these don't need to get into Bethesda territory for subtlety and freedom, so something like the simple question and answer sections in a Phoenix Wright game would be perfect for an extra element of engagement.
