10 Things Nobody Wants To Admit About PlayStation
5. The Touchpad Remains Completely Pointless
Sony have been very stubborn with the design of their controllers since day one. In essence, it has always been the same design: a D pad, two control sticks, four buttons and four trigger buttons. While X, Circle, Triangle, Square has become synonymous with Playstation; there have always been little improvements here and there... until now.
Now, we have the same controller we've all become accustomed to with a seemingly useless touchpad plonked directly in the middle of it. Anyone else thinking it might be a bit of an afterthought to make use of tactile technology?
So far, I've used my touchpad to bring up the map in Assassin's Creed 4, control a drone in Killzone and access the battle log in Battlefield 4 and... that's about it.
As far as gimmicks go, this one is a complete waste of time - unless there are any incredible uses of the touchpad you can shout out in the comments below?
