10 Things That Prove EA Have Completely Lost Their Way
5. Gutting The Sims 4
How is it possible that The Sims 4 had even less content than The Sims 3 at launch? So much was missing from the game that it felt more like a failed attempt to cash in than a sequel. Oh wait...
Although The Sims is pretty well known for having hundreds of items added into the game through expansion packs, nowhere is it more egregious than in The Sims 4. Although the social aspects of the game were certainly heavily improved from other Sims titles, the game felt pretty downgraded when compared to The Sims 3.
Careers, toddlers, buildings and the open world neighbourhood are all aspects from The Sims 3 (and prior titles) that were completely left out or heavily downgraded in The Sims 4. EA later took most of this missing content and proceeded to charge people for it through DLC. This made The Sims 4 look like a cash-grab, completely undermining some of the improvements that it actually did make.
The Sims 4 didn't even launch with swimming pools. How is that possible?
