10 Things To Love And Hate About The Spyro Reignited Trilogy

6. Hate: Save Issues

As we've said, while there were many things fixed in the reignited series, it brought with it some new and pretty bad issues. One of the worst is a scenario with the save file that can see a lot of progress lost without much explanation.

Since a single save file contains progress for all three games, it was possible to have some corruption of the file where your progress was "rolled back" to an earlier position. Not just in the game you were on, but in any and sometimes all three games.

Tales range from people losing a couple of levels progress to others being nearly finished the trilogy, only to load up and find the progress bar at or near zero for the first two games.

The only explanation that has been offered is that it may have something to do with how the console tries to back up your save files to storage, but with no fix forthcoming, the only options left for players was to either carry on and hope it didn't happen again or give up entirely.

Many players, frustrated with the lack of help, opted for the second option.
