10 Things We Desperately Want From Resident Evil 8

8. A Sizeable Campaign

For the most part, the Resident Evil games aren't particularly long, with their runtimes being artificially inflated by the use of challenging puzzles and the lack of ammo forcing players to look for alternate routes to bypass dangerous enemies.

Where it wasn't such a big deal in the early days, it has become a major point of contention amongst fans when we're paying premium prices for short-lived experiences. The Resident Evil 2 Remake offered two slightly different campaigns that padded out the run-time, but the recent Resident Evil 3 Remake was insultingly short, with many of us completing it within five hours.

It wouldn't be so bad if there was the inclusion of a Mercenaries mode or branching paths, but outside of the main story, there's only the half-baked multiplayer to sink your teeth into.

You can certainly argue that it can be difficult to prolong the tension of a horror game over a long period of time, but more meat on the bones of the campaign would go a long way to making those of us that bought the Resident Evil 3 Remake at launch, feel a little bit compensated for the overall lack of content we were given.
