10 Things We Know About PES 2018

1. Master League Is Getting A Touch Up

Career Mode in FIFA has its own problems, but it's a much more well-rounded experience than Master League. That's not to say Konami's 'Manager Mode' is poor, it just feels a little archaic next to EA's production and has needed some attention for a while now. This year, we finally get that.

The limited transfer system of old has been replaced by one that's more realistic (hopefully, we can now sign more than one player in what feels like the shortest window ever) and the presentation has been overhauled completely. About time too, because Master League was beginning to look like Mastermind with those ancient graphical overlays and menus.

As if that wasn't promising enough, there's now a pre-season feature that'll let aspiring managers play around with tactics. If this could be a little more fleshed-out than FIFA 17's basic pre-season tournament idea then that'd be lovely.

Things are looking up for Master League. It's good to see Konami put focus on one of their more classic modes.
