1. Career Mode Improvements

Fans will also be pleased to find out that EA has teased some major improvements to the career mode in the upcoming title.

It's not that career mode was bad in previous games, far from it. The variety of options has consistently improved year on year.

The big problem, particularly in the late game, was that career mode became frustratingly repetitive, as the lack of an influx of AI contenders meant that you could find yourself facing a 55-year-old Daniel Cormier in a pentalogy for the UFC Heavyweight Title.

The company was hesitant to give too much away about the overhaul, but did emphasise how players will be able to develop their backstory, and really flesh out their experience in combat sports prior to embarking on a rise to greatness inside the Octagon. This means that how a player decides to approach their early bouts will help determine what kind of fighter they will eventually develop into.
