10 Things We Learned From The EA UFC 4 Reveal
3. More Customisation
Those who have been around since the days when admitting you were a fan of MMA more often than not left you earmarked as the office sadist, will be more than likely well aware of how the current state of creativity and customisation when it comes to in-cage apparel in our beloved sport is at an all-time low.
After nearly two glorious decades when combatants had the freedom to flesh out their individuality through their choice of shorts, the UFC curtailed fighter freedom in 2014 by signing an exclusive deal with Reebok, that replaced many of the sports iconic attires with generic black and white trunks and offensively basic fight kits.
In the interest of keeping things authentic, the previous EA UFC games have stayed true to the limited customisation options afforded by the American sports apparel company, but with the Reebok deal due to expire at the end of the year, it seems EA UFC 4 will finally give players greater freedom of choice when it comes to what their character sports in the Octagon.
EA announced that the game will feature over 1600 new pieces of gear for players to customise their fighter with, though it remains to be seen what proportion of these will only be accessible through microtransactions.
