10 Things We Want To See From Yukes' Alternative WWE 2K Game
6. Live Updates
Pop in your copy of WWE 2K19 and it all feels a bit dated. Wrestlers will be wearing the wrong gear, some will have the wrong hairstyle and a fair few won't represent the person who bounds out onto the stage on Monday and Tuesday nights. This has been an ongoing problem for years now, and it's hard for 2K to manage.
Or, is it?
The lack of a live update system really hurts the lasting appeal of 2K's series. There's no attempt to keep up with what WWE are doing in real life by tweaking superstars and keeping them up-to-date, and that leaves the overall package feeling like yesterday's news pretty quickly.
Take FIFA or Madden for example. In both those games, EA constantly refresh stats and form tables for the teams involved so gamers can lose themselves in a world at least trying to mirror what they watch weekly. Yukes could do themselves a massive favour by promising weekly (or monthly) updates that add new moves, arenas, characters, ring attires and incentives to keep on playing their game.
