10 Things WWE 2K21's REAL Replacement Needs To Fix
7. MyCAREER
When MyCAREER first launched in WWE 2K15, fans were not convinved. Though the mode provided a return to the original stories not seen in WWE games since WWE 12, MyCAREER felt like a boring grind through matches that meant nothing, as the player meandered towards a random cutscene that would trigger a pay-per-view match.
The mode generally remained stagnant for several years, however in 2K19, it seemed as though 2K had found something, providing a fully voiced story that helped to make matches actually mean something. It was well acted and written, and seemed like a positive step forward for the series.
However, come 2K20, and much of that excellence dissapeared. Though the voice acting was fine, the writing was unbearably corny, which undermined the mature approach seen in most facets of the game. Furthermore, the story was just plain boring, with many of the sub-plots the game tries to present being dull, while adding little to the overall story.
While MyCAREER does have a solid reason for existing and can provide some decent entertainment, 2K needs to fix these myriad of issues to allow the mode to be the game-changer they want it to be.
