10 Things You Didn't Know About Batman: Arkham City

As mentioned in the previous entry, adding other members of the Bat family into Arkham City was always going to be divisive.

With Catwoman being playable and Robin as a cameo, Rocksteady were already pushing the boat out a little bit and testing the waters with an audience that might have scoffed at anything other than a solo Batman experience.

Consequently, the team may have worried that adding Nightwing into the story as well would be one step too far. Though he showed up as DLC, it's been speculated that originally he may have played a bigger role, considering voice actor Quinton Flynn (perhaps most famous for voicing Raiden in Metal Gear Solid) was credited with Nightwing's performance, despite the character not having any lines in the final game.

Of course, he played a heavy role in Arkham Knight, so maybe the plan was to give him a similar introduction as Robin in this game. Likewise, maybe they didn't like Quinton Flynn's performance, as the character is played by someone else in Knight, or maybe they simply used some of Flynn's stock grunts for the DLC.
