10 Things You Didn't Know About Fallout 4

2. The Iconic Power Armour Was The First Asset Modelled In The Game

One of the most recognisable aspects of the Fallout series is the advanced power armour worn by a variety of different factions across what is left of the post-war United States. To date, the cover of every mainline entry in the franchise has been adorned by a solider donning a suit in a variety of different forms.

With this in mind, it shouldn't be surprising that creating a new edition of the iconic garb was a top priority for Bethesda during the development of Fallout 4.

Todd Howard later confirmed in an interview with Gameinformer that the T-60 armour was the very first asset modelled for the title, just a week after the team had completed the final Fallout 3 DLC, Mothership Zeta.

Howard also stated that reinventing the design of the power armour, while staying true to the franchise allowed the team to start as they meant to go on, by creating a fundamentally new experience within the established Fallout world.
