Something that does not appear in the games, but is a part of the Sly Cooper lore is that he actually helped Carmelita get her big break with INTERPOL.

Sly pops into a large party at the Paris Opera House, where Carmelita and her boss are on security detail. While coming in contact with her a couple times throughout the evening, even getting captured at one point, he eventually apprehends the rival thief. The person attempting to steal from the Opera House this entire time was not Sly, but it was the stage manager Pierre and Carmelita quickly arrests him.

Seeing this initiative, her boss promotes her and showers her with accolades for a job well done. Sly leaves his calling card for her, revealing his identity as part of the Cooper Clan, and starting the love affair between them.

Without Sly having been there, we don’t know if Carmelita would’ve gotten her big break, let alone captured the thief that night. Although accounts of this evening differ depending on who you ask, they can both agree that without Sly’s assistance that night, Carmelita would not be in the position that she currently has.
