1. Play Co-Op? You're A Keeper

This isn't an attempt to foster some insecurity if you're not into gaming nor prepared to give it a try, but even if you make the slightest effort, gamers will love you for it. Like any hobby, taking an interest is the important part, and if you are willing to sit down and play some co-op Halo with them (assuming they want you to), you'll have perfect recourse to ask them to spend time with you doing...whatever it is you do.

It can be a fun bonding activity, and I've seen many friends actually get their partners into gaming just through slowly introducing them with a simple, easy game, and before long, their partner was frequently kicking their ass on some of their favourite games.

It's the geek equivalent of Frankenstein's Monster, building an entity who grows beyond your own power and control. But probably a lot sexier.
