10 Times Final Fantasy 7 Remake Made Our Jaw Drop

7. Aerith’s House

FF7 Remake Vista
Square Enix

Another iconic location that you stumble across within the opening few hours of the original game. Aerith’s house represents a striking contrast compared to the rest of Midgar. The dull greys, browns and blacks that make up the majority of FF7 Remake’s pallet give way momentarily to vibrancy and natural beauty.

The house itself is tucked away in the corner, much like it is in the original, to allow the surrounding natural landscape to take centre stage – an excellent decision. The billowing waterfall provides the perfect backdrop for the painstaking detail of the flower beds in the foreground.

It's another opportunity to just sit back and take it all in. There's so much to look at here.

Perhaps what isn’t immediately obvious is the fact that this scene is lit by actual sunlight - a rarity in this setting - and it helps to add another layer of emotion that you don't quite realise at first. It’s a breath-taking sight, certainly worthy of a screenshot or two.
