10 Times Final Fantasy 7 Remake Made Our Jaw Drop

5. Cloud’s Performance

For all the things we were expecting from FF7 Remake, Cloud’s performance at the Honeybee Inn was not one of them. We knew he would be getting dressed up, but that was as far as we dared imagine.

The entire Wall Market chapter is brilliantly fleshed out in the remake. It has become perhaps the most memorable of the entire game, with a deeper narrative, new characters and a perfect depiction of Don Corneo. And nothing sends jaws dropping quite like Cloud dancing.

That this cold-as-ice mercenary could find himself coerced to dance on stage entirely against his will is both hilarious and believable, and the reactions of Aerith throughout only serve to make this one of the more entertaining sequences in the game.

Once you get over the initial shock of what’s just happened, this scene actually paves the way for some of the best character building moments for Cloud, as we get to see just how uncomfortable he is inside his own body.
