10 Times Miles Morales Spider-Man Totally Outdid Peter Parker

5. Unlimited POWER!

So Miles is just a younger and more relatable version of Peter Parker? Well, not exactly. You see, Miles got bit by a slightly different spider than Peter. (Any fans of Silk in the comics know how different the story would be if Miles and Peter were bitten by the same spider). Because of the difference in spiders, Miles has certain abilities that Peter is not privy to. Chief of these abilities is Mile’s venom touch, followed by his invisibility.

Featured in both the film and video games, the venom strike is an electrical charge built up in Miles’ body that allows him to electrocute enemies, redirect electrical currents, and produce bio-electric energy bolts as featured in the image above. This power references the abilities that certain real-life spiders have to stun their prey with very small electric jolts, which probably looks as badass as it sounds.

Miles’ other unique ability is invisibility. The natural camouflage that many arachnids use to survive is often used by Miles when he is in over his head. As an extremely young crime-fighter who is often without backup, Miles always needs an exit strategy. Turning invisible and web-swinging away is always an option (except for those dreaded times you run out of web fluid). Now, having the Miles powerset is definitely an upgrade of the Peter Parker powers, but there are also some setbacks. Miles has been shown to have a slightly weaker Spidey Sense than Peter. He also is unable to make his own web-shooters or web fluid, relying on Ganke to craft him more.

Zach Reed hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
