8. Villager Enslavement - Minecraft

Minecraft Villager
Mojang

It didn't take long for Minecraft players to realise that the key to survival is preparation. This includes building pens and literal farms. Breed pigs and create a system of food to make sure you stay healthy. Breed cows for leather hide and milk. Breed chickens for eggs. As blocky as Minecraft is, it's at least realistic in this way.

Except, you know, real-world farms tend not to have humans in them because it's quite illegal.

In the years since their inclusion, Villagers have quickly become one of the most useful mobs in all of Minecraft. Not only do their little homesteads provide shelter, but they can also summon powerful Iron Giants and their ability to trade with players gains them access to some incredibly useful resources.

And while you might not think it's so bad if you're giving your Villagers the ideal space to breed in peace, you still have to kidnap them and hold them hostage in the first place.

Some players will min/max Minecraft to the extreme, creating contraptions and holding pens to make the most of the game whilst they're away exploring, which at this point just makes these humanoid creatures a wheel in your perverse machine.

Look into their cold dead eyes and see your heart reflected back at you, you monster.
