10 Trailers That Completely Misrepresented Their Video Games

4. Assassin’s Creed Unity

Firmly in the No Man’s Sky category of stunning trailers with no ability to convert until most players had long given up on it, we have Assassin’s Creed Unity.

This case is particularly brutal for a couple of reasons, the first being that this game has one of the most stunning trailers ever made for a video game. The second being that the concept and setting is fantastic, but a relentless string of bugs, some of which broke the game, turned what should have been an instant classic in the long running series into a meme. Remember the eyes that were weirdly detached from the character's heads? Unfortunately for Ubisoft that’s pretty much all most people remember about Unity even though some players claim it’s a pretty solid game once those bugs were sorted.

Of course by that point no one was really playing it any more and Ubisoft themselves took years off to think about what they’d done so, well, at least we got Origins out of it.
