10 Truly Awful Video Game Movies Sonic Might Be Worse Than

2. Bloodrayne

Bloodrayne is a slightly unusual one in that both the movie and the game have what could be generously described as a cult following, and the movies are probably better known than the games.

The following of both of them could be more accurately described as ‘almost nonexistent’, and there’s a good reason for that.

The games, in fairness, aren’t too bad, but as early 00s era hack and slash they get lost in the shuffle with MediEvil, Severance and even God Of War, which made most hack and slash games look terrible by comparison on its 2005 release.

The movies (yup, they made three) were straight up terrible. Supporting star Michael Madsen and lead voice in the games Laura Bailey both ridiculed the flick, but the critics took this to a whole other level.

With just a 4% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the film was criticised for using a first draft script, punched up on the fly by director Uwe Boll, and for hiring actual prostitutes rather than actors to save on funds.

If you think this is the worst video game film Boll has ever made though, think again...
