10 Truly Terrible Video Games Based On Great TV Shows

3. The Shield: The Game

I’ll be honest, I’ve only ever seen one episode of The Shield and I didn’t enjoy it. It was on Channel Five at around 3am and involved the central character (Michael Chiklis) relieving himself on a perp he had recently arrested – not my cup of tea whatsoever. I prefer crushed skulls and Lannister incest…

Despite not viewing more than half an hour of the show, I did invest in the game on the advice of a friend. Needless to say, said friend is no longer on my Christmas card list thanks to this shoddy attempt at a stealth-action drama game. The plot is paper thin and the stealth aspect is so basic you may as well walk straight through the levels for the sake of being caught; it’ll give you something to do other than move-stop-move-stop etc.

If anything, the game is hellishly similar to 24: The Game and equally as tragic. The interrogation sections are more brutal than its likeness but only because Michael Chiklis probably does slam people’s heads into ovens on a daily basis.

The worst part of all? You’re not supposed to shoot and kill people in a game that revolves around shooting… WHAT’S THE POINT THEN?!
