10 Unannounced Video Games You'll Probably Be Playing By The End Of 2016

However, if we don't see a new Wolfenstein this year then you can bet we'll be seeing another game in The Evil Within franchise. The original may not have set the world on fire, but it was still a solid survival-horror shooter, and allegedly did much better commercially than publisher Bethesda expected.

Plus, we're still yet to see the triple A market take advantage of the recent horror game boom, so it would make sense for Bethesda to invest in The Evil Within's already solid foundation to keep their foot in the bustling market. It might not become a commercial smash like the Resident Evil franchise, but a sequel to The Evil Within would still do big numbers with genre fans.

Unfortunately, the chances of seeing this game are most likely entirely dependent on when it's announced. I can't imagine it competing against fall's big-hitters (unless of course Wolfenstein isn't ready to be Bethesda's holiday game of 2016), and if it's not announced soon it probably won't squeeze into the August release date that allowed the original game to become such a huge success in the first place.
