10 Unannounced Video Games You'll Probably Be Playing By The End Of 2016

3. A Justice League/Suicide Squad Game

Likelihood: 4/10 (An announcement, at least)

Ever since the original Arkham Asylum, developers Rocksteady have been the kings of foreshadowing their next games. Whether it was the secret room that housed the Arkham City plans in the first game or The Scarecrow's barge that could be found in the sequel, every entry in the series thus far has hinted towards the developer's next project.

And so, when hints of Superman turned up in Arkham Knight, fans could only assume that they were pointing at Rocksteady's latest project. We know that the developers are done with Batman, but nobody said anything about Superman, or the rest of the Justice League for that matter.

However, a new game from the studio a mere year after they launched Arkham Knight doesn't seem likely. That said, there's nothing stopping WB Montreal, the studio in charge of Arkham Origins, from releasing another game in the franchise.

Ever since the developers dropped Origins in 2013 they've been working on an unannounced open world game, something that was confirmed by WB last year. Since then there have been rumours that this could be a Suicide Squad title to ride the hype of the upcoming movie, however it could equally be the Justice League game mentioned earlier.

Either way, WB Montreal is working on some kind of open world game set in the DC universe, and after three years of development and with no other major games by the publisher releasing this year, we should be seeing the result of that labour pretty soon.
