9. Watch Dogs 3
Watch Dogs 3 is an interesting beast. On one hand, a teaser at the end of Watch Dogs 2 suggested the series was moving to the surveillance capital of the world, London. On the other hand, the second game's soft sales led many to believe Ubisoft may just abandon the franchise entirely. However, recent reports suggest this one is in development, and due out in this year no less.
Watch Dogs 3 has been rumoured on and off since 2016, but Ubisoft has made no official mention of it. Fans have just assumed that the developer was sticking with the British setting that it previously teased, but this was also confirmed on Twitter by Kotaku Editor and the games industry's biggest in-the-know journalist, Jason Schreier.
The most recent rumours also suggest that, following in the footsteps of Watch Dogs 2, the third game will have a greater emphasis on hacking and much less on combat. This was a big complaint with Watch Dogs 2, and the dissonance between the light-hearted tone of the characters jarring and being forced to kill people with guns.
