10 Unconfirmed Video Games We Know Are In Development

Last year, a video was released onto Reddit of a purported Harry Potter game currently in development at Warner Bros. The video showcased a character builder, various creatures, and a big world that included caves, a greenhouse, classrooms, a forest, Hogsmeade and Hogwarts. Of course, it was pulled from Reddit and YouTube by Warner Bros. the same day, but mirrors still exist. The fact that it was pulled means Warner Bros wants to control the messaging, and therefore it's obviously a real thing.

The prospect of a AAA open-world Harry Potter game in which you design your own student got plenty of people very excited, but it has yet to be confirmed by Warner Bros. Based on job listings, it seems the game is being developed by Warner Bros. developer Avalanche Software, based in Utah. It's unclear how long the game has been in development but the leaked trailer showcased lots of polished environments and animations that suggest it's well into production.

This game, allegedly called Harry Potter: Magic Awakening, is likely to be revealed at E3 2019 and would immediately become one of the most anticipated titles. Harry Potter fans have never gotten a true-blue game that wasn't a movie tie-in, and never one with a giant open world, so this project could scratch a 20-year itch.
