10 Underwhelming Video Games With MUST-PLAY DLC

7. Cold, Cold Heart - Batman Arkham: Origins

Even though Batman: Arkham Origins didn't have Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamill, or Rocksteady, fans were expecting it to be a blast.

To the sorrow of many, this prequel was a mess. The story was all over the place, the environments were uncreative and empty, and the world was too linear. Worst of all, certain ports suffered from horrendous bugs, causing the game to regularly crash.

Because of the negative reception, you could understand if Batman fans took a rain-check with the expansion. But Cold, Cold Heart needs to be played, since it avoids all of Origins' pitfalls. Instead of suffering from a non-cohesive, plot, the narrative is airtight. Fighting goons requires a lot more strategy, since they are often armed with ice cannons. Rather than exploring the same areas as before, Cold, Cold Heart boasts some great new locations (including Wayne Manor).

Also, Mister Freeze's tragic backstory and callous demeanour makes him such a compelling figure, it's baffling why the series took this long to make him a leading villain.

Cold, Cold Heart may be brief, but this DLC is guaranteed to leave players more satisfied than Origins ever did.
